Canada and FGM

Today I want to look at some of the events that happened over the weekend, and are in the news.

Israel / Iran Incident

An Iranian drone penetrated Israeli air space over the weekend and was shot down by the Israeli air force. In retaliation for the incident, Israel attacked the site in Syria from which the drone was launched. In the attack, one Israeli F16 was shot down.

I believe this is the first military incident between Israel and Iran for quite some time. At the moment, the situation is very tense. The big fear is that Iran will successfully develop a nuclear bomb. They have threatened to destroy Israel.

Many nations have nuclear weapons and we don’t worry about most of them because we don’t believe they will actually use them. In most nations the belief is, there is peace through strength. If your capabilities ensure mutual destruction, it keeps rational national leaders from attacking you. This forces peaceful negotiations. This is why we have had relative peace since WWII.

We are concerned about some nations, like Iran, because they will likely use them. They don’t care about their being destroyed themselves. The Ayatollah in Iran has said, we don’t care if this land is destroyed, as long as Islam succeeds. In other word, Iran doesn’t matter, but Islam matters. A regime that doesn’t care about their own survival, it is very dangerous to the rest of the world. Sadly, Obama put them on the path to getting the “bomb.”

Iran flew one of their stealth drones into Israel. It was launched from Syria. We have known for some time that Syria gave land to Iran to set up an airbase. About 6 months ago, Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyau said, that is not going to happen.

The drone was supposed to be a stealth drone, but it apparently wasn’t that stealth because Israel was able to track it from it launch site. It was shot down as soon as it entered Israeli air space.

On the return to Israel, one of the F16s was shot down, Fortunately the crew was able to eject safely, and all though they were wounded, they landed safely in Israel. I think this is the first time an Israeli aircraft has been shot down since the early 90s.

The tensions are very high between Israel and Iran at this time. We will keep our eye on it and keep you up to date.

Canada FGM “Barbaric Practices”

In 2011, the then Conservative government inserted a warning against “barbaric cultural practices,” such as FGM (Female Genital Mutilation), honor killings, forced marriage, and spousal abuse into the Citizenship Guide.

Immigrants are coming into their country because Canada’s birthrate is so low. The average birthrate in Canada is between 1.3 to 1.4, and a society needs at lest 2.1 just for their economy to remain stable. Since the birthrate is so low, they don’t have enough Canadians to meet the needs of the workforce, so they bring in immigrants.

Because there are so many immigrants, they have produced this Citizenship Guide. The draft version of the guide obtained by The Canadian Press in July showed that the Conservative section on “barbaric cultural practices” had been removed by Justin Trudeau’s liberal party. If I understand correctly, the parts on honor killings, forced marriage, and spousal abuse are still included, but they are not called “barbaric cultural practices,” but FGM has been removed.

Ms. Rempel has sponsored a petition in Parliament calling on the Trudeau government to include the condemnation of FGM and the “barbaric cultural practices” phrase in its final version of the Citizenship Guide. There has not been an official printing or release of the guide, but it appears that they are intending to remove these two things. Trudeau has suggested that it is islamophobic to have this in the guide.

The practices considered barbaric in this guide are those things that are practiced in Islamic nations. They are part of Islamic law. If you don’t have a copy of my book “Refuting Islam,” I recommend you get one because I give you that chapter and verse from the Sharia Law the basis for this practice within Islam.

Sharia Law on FGM

From the Reliance Of Traveller:

e.4.3    Circumcision is obligatory for both men and women.  For men of the removing of the prepuce from the penis, and for women, removing the prepuce of the clitoris. Hanbalis hold that circumcision of women is not obligatory but advised, while Hanafis consider it a mere courtesy to the husband.

A Questionable Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to her: ‘Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband.’–Sunan Abu Dawûd, Book 41, #5251.

There was a petition that I missed on this issue. Had I known about it, I would have informed you so those of you in Canada would have had a chance to participate in it. The petition is now closed, but we have the results, and more than 25,000 signed it urging the Canadian government to retain the warning of barbaric practices as originally introduced.

FGM is illegal in Canada, but that does not mean that it is not being done. It is illegal in many places in the world, but is still being practiced. The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women says FGM has been perpetuated against at least 200 million women and girls worldwide. The UN says 98 per cent of women and girls in Somalia aged 15 to 49 have undergone FGM, followed by Guinea at 97 per cent and Djibouti at 93 per cent.

It amazes me that, out of fear of offending Muslims, liberals refuse to stand against these barbaric practices.
