What You Need to Know About Israel

What You Need to Know About Israel

I want to look at all you need to know about Israel in what should take about 10 minutes to read. I want to do this because Israel is in the news, and is being attacked by rockets from Hamas, which is a terrorist organization out of Egypt. They are using the Palestinians as a shield to make the Israelis look bad.

We are going to look at Egypt, Syria, and other Middle Eastern nations to see why there is no peace in the area. My purpose is that we all have a better understanding of the issues. I want you to share this information with your friends on Facebook and other social media sites.

1. Israel Is Democratic and Pluralistic

Many of the young people in America have no idea what is going on. The truth is not being taught in our schools, and the media is not honest in their reporting concerning the issues in the Middle East.

Israel is the only nation in the Middle East that is truly governed by a democratically elected government. It is also the only nation in that area that is truly pluralistic, that is, they allow different religions to operate freely.

The population of Israel is about 6.5 million. One million of this population are Muslim Arabs, and they have full citizenship. There are Muslim Arab members of the Keenest (their parliament); there are Muslim Arab judges and Muslim Arab school teachers, etc. In contrast to this, Jews are not allowed to cooperate in the government of Arab nations; in fact, no Jews are allowed in Arab nations at all.

2. The Arabs are trying to steal away Land that God has given to the Jews.

The Bible settles this issue in Genesis Chapter 17.

Ge 17:18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. (Genesis 17:18-21)

It is very clear that God’s covenant is with Isaac and the Jews. The land was given to the Jews as an everlasting homeland.

The Muslims claim the land because their Prophet Muhammad said that Allah sent him to correct the corruptions the Jews and Christians had made to the Scriptures. The Qur’an says that Abraham took Ishmael to the mountain to be sacrificed. They claim that Ismael is the son who receives the blessing and that the land belongs to the Arabs.

3. Palestine is a Myth

The whole idea that there is a Palestinian people is a myth. Palestine or a derivative is found in the Bible. It is used 3 times. The word Palestine is found in Joel 3:4:

Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompense? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompense upon your own head; (Joel 3:4)

It refers to an enclave of Philistines North of Israel in Lebanon (Tyre and Zidon). It is north of Israel, and not part of Israel.

Since this word refers to the Philistines, we need to know who they were. They were the descendants of Canaan, who was a descendant of Ham. In Genesis Chapter 9 we find that God cursed Canaan and Ham for their sin.

And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. (Genesis 9:22-26)

This is important because the Arabs are descendants of Shem, not Ham. Ishmael is the father of the Arab Nations.

The concept of Palestine comes from a mandate given to the British after WWI. They were to divide the land and establish a two-state solution. This solution was offered five times and was rejected by the Arabs every time. There had never been a nation called Palestine before this time.

4. Three Wars on Israel by its Muslim Arab Neighbors

Since the establishment of Israel, there have been three wars initiated by the Arabs to destroy Israel. Each time Israel has come out on top. The God of Israel, Jehovah, has blessed Israel, and the Arabs don’t understand why their god, Allah, has not caused them to prevail in these wars.

The war of 1948

The British Mandate ended on 14 May 1948 and Ben Gurion declared Israel a State at midnight. On 15 May 1948 Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq attacked the new nation. Israel was outnumbered and outgunned, yet they were the victors. The war lasted 9 months and Israel kept all the lands promised to it by UN Resolution 181 and 60% of Arab Land including West Jerusalem. Egypt took Gaza and Jordan seized and Occupied the West Bank.

1967 (Six Day War)

Egyptian President Nassar took the Suez Canal from the British and closed the Gulf of the Aqaba at the Straits of Tiran, thus closing down shipping lanes for Israel at Eilat. Israel launched a Preemptive Air Strike at Egypt on 5 June 1967 which started the six-day war. Syria, Jordan & Iraq joined in, and 6 days later Israel won and gained the Gazza Strip from Egypt, the West Bank from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria.

The Yom-Kippur War 6 Oct 1973

A surprise attack from Egypt and Syria on Yom-Kippur (Day of Atonement), Israel’s most holy day. Later Jordan jumped in. Egypt lost the Sinai Peninsula putting Israel on its border at the Suez. Syria lost the highest parts north of the Golan putting Israel only 20 miles from Damascus.

5. The Camp David Agreement of Jimmy Carter in 1978

This agreement gave all the land gains of Israel back to Egypt. The agreement promised the United States would pay Egypt one Billion Dollars each year to keep the peace with Israel. We are still paying this today.

Egypt is the second highest recipient of our foreign aid. It is not given because Egypt needs it, but to keep Egypt at peace with Israel. We don’t pay them in cash, we pay them in military equipment.

6. The United Nations is Corrupt and Biased Against Israel

UN Watch reports that in 2017 there were 20 resolutions against Israel and only 3 for the rest of the World. This is in spite of the fact that there were atrocities in China, Cuba, Egypt, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia Sri Lank, Sudan, Yemen, Zimbabwe, North Korea, Iran, and Syria. The only three of these nations who received condemnation were North Korea, Iran, and Syria.

The UN is run pretty much by one voting bloc, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. They also use the Palestinian Refugee Crisis in the Middle East. It is orchestrated and funded by the UN.

UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) services 5.2 Million Palestinian refugees. Right now they are servicing now the 4th generation of refugees, and not one them has been resettled.

The UNHCR (United Nations High Council on Refugees) serves the rest of the world, or 65.6 million refugees. It does not serve Descendants and it has been very successful in resettling millions of refugees.

UNHCR rules that once refugees become citizens, they are no longer a refugee. However, of the 5.2 million Palestinians refugees, 1.6 have become citizens of Jordan but are still funded and treated as refugees.

The UN is a corrupt organization that is controlled to a large degree by Muslim countries. The reason they treat the Palestinians as refugees is to give reason to condemn Israel. The UN condemns Israel time and time again while turning a blind eye to the rest of the world.

Conclusion

These are the six major things you need to know about Israel and the situation in the Middle East.

Israel is the land that God has blessed and given to His chosen people, the Jews. They are harassed and condemned by the rest of the world. Even in the United States, the majority of hate crimes are against the Jews. The Jews are the object of hate crimes 10 times more than any other religious group.
